Tips for your winter camping
#Nice weather does not have to be

Even if you're craving nice weather and want to leave the cold temperatures behind, it may be chilly or snowing when you arrive. Don't worry, all of our campers are equipped with winter tires and are comfortable on wet roads. However, please be aware if you are traveling in mountainous areas that extra caution should be taken on the roads when temperatures are around freezing.

#Plenty of space at campsites

Some campsites offer a year-round service. This has the advantage that you have plenty of space and can choose the best pitch. However, please find out before your trip which campsites are open. You can do this easily on our website and filter directly for campsites in winter.

#Sanitary facilities

Some campsites even have their sanitary facilities open in winter. It's worth packing a warm, fluffy bathrobe, because especially in the morning hours it can get very cold even in the south. But even better: rent one of our self-sufficient campers with your own bathroom. This way you are flexible, can comfortably shower and go to the toilet without leaving the warm camper and also have no problem when the sanitary facilities are closed.

#Incredible prices for bookings

Not only our campers have super low prices in winter, but also the campsites. Profit especially from the long-term offers as well as our winter special long term rentals!

#Cooking in the camper

Some regions have most restaurants closed in winter. So take your chance to buy local and cook the best recipes of the region yourself. In all our campers you have the possibility to prepare your own food and feel like a local.

#Ferry service

Ferries also run a little less during the winter months. Better check in advance when a ferry leaves and book your ticket in advance.

#Packing list for winter camping

In the southern regions it is still warmer than here in Germany, but especially at night it can be below 10 degrees. Therefore, pack a few more layers and take a warmer sleeping bag. Our campers are also all equipped with a parking heater.
