Christmas and Camping

Christmas means time for the family, lots of delicious food, following traditions and enjoying contemplative moments together. But does that always have to be within the four walls of your home? We at FreewayCamper have a great tip for you and your loved ones 😉

Grab one of our campers and spend extraordinary holidays in the middle of nature and real Christmas trees around you. This year you won't bring nature into your home, but we offer you the possibility to bring your home into nature. And there are still so many ideas to bring Christmas into your camper. Whether Christmas decorations, cookies and mulled wine or snow-covered holidays - with FreewayCamper nothing stands in the way of your special Christmas 2021!

How can I decorate my camper for Christmas?

A small Christmas tree with beautiful colorful baubles, if the one in front of the door is a bit too big, Santa Claus caps on the headrests and lots of fairy lights on the windows. If you want it a little more Christmassy, you can of course also decorate the table with a table runner, twigs and homemade stars. Add a few tea lights in a glass and your camper is ready for your special holidays. For the Christmas feeling naturally a cinnamon scented candle may not be missing, because Christmas always smells particularly good, or?😉 Here again the most important summarized:

  • Christmas tree (which is also available in very small sizes and is therefore perfect for the camper)
  • Christmas tree balls in your favorite color (we love FreewayCamper blue 😉)
  • Fairy lights (there can never be enough of them)
  • Possibly scented candles that smell of cinnamon
  • Branches
  • Table runner
  • Santa Claus cap

But what you can't miss is the christmasy smell of grandma's kitchen in the camper, right?

Baking many different kinds of cookies together with grandma, while the curtains are drawn from the living room window and the door is locked. Secretly nibbling the dough and trying to catch a glimpse of the tree. This is Christmas and should not be missing in the camper! But baking cookies in the camper, how is that possible? And do you always have to bake cookies? We at FreewayCamper have picked out special recipes for you, no oven required!

Why celebrate Christmas in a camper?

There are several reasons for this! Lonely streets, snowy windows and cosy moments in the camper! And what could be better than enjoying Christmas Eve together with your loved ones, singing Christmas carols and possibly spending a white Christmas in the mountains? Thickly wrapped in a blanket, Christmassy scent, family traditions inherited from childhood and stories from the past - that's how Christmas should be!

For the skiers among you, Christmas in nature and in the mountains has another special advantage: thanks to the proximity of the ski resorts, you can be the first on the slopes and start the holidays perfectly!

Wintertime in a Camper

So go ahead and book your Christmas in a camper!

Our campers are perfectly equipped for the cold season and offer you a warm place to sleep even in winter. The Marco Polo, for example, has an integrated parking heater, winter tires and various additional winter equipment to make your Christmas camping trip as pleasant as possible.

Our Bulli models are also prepared for winter and thanks to the roof tent insulation and the CaliHeat heating hose you can conduct the heat from the parking heater into your sheep room in the pop-up roof.

In the campervans you can not only spend the night, but also camp self-sufficiently. In addition, you can book insulation for the front windows to keep you cozy and warm even in the coldest nights.

You can find all information about our winter equipment right here.
