Start the autumn vacations active and rested. Use the time for you and your loved ones and travel spontaneously with your FreewayCamper camper.
November usually marks the beginning of the colourful and cool season. It becomes quieter and more comfortable. The days become shorter, it gets dark earlier and gradually winter is approaching. Use the time for a relaxed break from everyday life with your loved ones and travel with a camper over the long All Saints' weekend or during the autumn vacations.
Autumn holiday in the nature with a camper
Nature presents itself from its most beautiful side with a bright variety of colours and clear autumn air. Many things speak for a trip with a camper during the autumn vacations:
- Especially the golden autumn days are perfect to sit in front of the camper, wrapped up in a fluffy blanket, and enjoy the picturesque autumn landscape together with your loved ones.
- You can enjoy the last warming rays of sunshine and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature before winter sets in and the hectic Christmas season begins.
- In the south it is even still warm and with a little luck you can still enjoy temperatures of over 20 degrees during your excursions.
- Even in rain, storm and cool temperatures your camper will be warm and comfortable. All our campers are equipped with a parking heater and are perfectly insulated, so you can make yourself comfortable in your warm camper with a view to the beautiful autumn landscape.
- In October and November there is not so much going on at the campsites and you will surely get the place with the best view.
On All Saints' Day the family comes together and also the autumn vacations are enjoyed with your loved ones. How about cooking a pumpkin soup together, which will warm you up on those cold days and put you in a Halloween mood?
Autumn Holiday Recipe Tip
A pumpkin soup can be prepared not only in the local kitchen, but also in one of our fully equipped campers. All you need is one of our campers, our kitchen package and in the best case a hand mixer from home. 😉
For the shopping list for camping:
- A Hokkaido Pumpkin
- An onion
- 500 ml vegetable broth
- salt and pepper
- A pinch of nutmeg
- Curry powder to taste
- Some butter
Our favorite camper recipe:
- First remove the seeds from the pumpkin and dice.
- Fry in butter together with the diced onion.
- Deglaze with the broth and let it boil for about 20 - 30 minutes.
- Then add the curry powder and puree the soup.
- If necessary, let the soup boil down a little more and then season to taste with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
So why not leave the daily routine behind, eat pumpkin soup in the camper and enjoy a relaxing break for a few days?
We wish you a cozy autumn time!
