The best thing about travelling with a FreewayCamper camper is not only the absolute feeling of freedom, but also the connection to nature. Our beautiful planet has so many special places to offer that you just have to discover and enjoy. But to keep it that way, it is especially important to protect our planet. With everything we do, we leave an ecological footprint and thus also influence global warming. Our mission now is to keep this impact as small as possible. Here we explain how we do this and what you can contribute:
What FreewayCamper can do for the environment

Climate neutral on the road
Effective climate protection means avoiding or reducing emissions and offsetting unavoidable ones. When driving, our campers cause CO2 emissions, which we offset so that you can travel climate-neutrally and enjoy nature even more. By indicating all kilometres driven, the CO2 emissions of your trip are calculated and offset by supporting internationally recognised climate protection projects. Our partner ClimatePartner supports and advises us in this offsetting process.
Climate protection projects with ClimatePartner
ClimatePartner is a solution provider in climate protection for companies and supports the offsetting of Co2 emissions caused. Here, the emissions are calculated concretely with the help of the kilometres driven, taking into account various components, and offset with the support of climate protection projects. Climate protection projects demonstrably save greenhouse gases and make an important contribution to combating global warming. In addition, they promote sustainable development in the project countries, for example by improving the supply of clean drinking water, expanding local infrastructure, creating jobs or protecting biodiversity.
FreewayCamper has chosen the following climate projects:

Forests are among the most important CO2 reservoirs on the planet and are, so to speak, the basis of life for all people. Afforestation or reforestation is therefore a very important part of climate protection. You can find detailed information on our ClimatePartner project page.
What you can do for the environment

Offsetting the kilometres driven is the first step from our side, but you can also pay attention to various things and thus make your camper trip as sustainable as possible. Here is a small collection of ideas:
- Choosing a campsite: Eco campsites are becoming more and more popular. With a little research, you can consciously choose campsites that specifically focus on environmentally friendly camping.
- When free-standing: a good rule of thumb is always to leave the site cleaner than you found it - it can make a difference if you collect some rubbish at each overnight stop and dispose of it properly.
- Supplies on the road: you can also make sure that your supplies are as plastic-free as possible - refillable bottles or jerry cans and reusable shopping bags and vegetable nets are useful gadgets for any camping holiday.
