The FreewayCamper Station is located in the north of Stuttgart in the Stammheim district not far from Kornwestheim. It is easy to reach by car and public transport.

Via public transport:
From Stuttgart central station: 

  • Via U15 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the U15 in the direction of Stammheim to the Stammheim stop. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Via S6 -> bus 508 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the S6 in the direction Weil der Stadt to the Zuffenhausen stop. From there, take bus 508 in direction Ludwigsburg ZOB to the Pflugfelder Straße stop. The trip takes between 29 and 31 minutes. 

From Stuttgart airport: 

  • Via S2 -> U15 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the S2 in the direction of Schorndorf to the central station. From there take the U15 to our yard. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 17 minutes. 
  • S2 -> S6 -> bus 508 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the S2 in the direction Schorndorf to the Rotebühlplatz Stadtmitte stop. From there, take the S6 and then bus 508 to our yard. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 7 minutes.
  • S2 -> S4 -> bus 412 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the S2 in the direction Schorndorf to the Rotebühlplatz Stadtmitte. From there, take the S4 in the direction of Backnang to the Kornwestheim stop. From there, take an 11-minute bus ride with bus 412 to Asperger Straße stop Asperger Straße. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 7 minutes. 
  • S2 -> S5 -> bus 412 -> FreewayCamper
    Take the S2 in the direction of Schorndorf to the Stuttgart Feuersee stop. From there, take the S5 in the direction Bietigheim-Bissingen to the Kornwestheim stop. From there, take the bus 412 to Asperger Straße as mentioned above. The trip takes approximately 1 hour and 12 minutes. 

From surrounding areas: 

  • From Kornwestheim: Take bus 412 to the Asperger Straße stop. Journey time approx. 20 minutes.
  • From Ludwigsburg: Take the S5 in the direction Schwabstraße to the Kornwestheim Pf. Stop. From there take bus 412 as described above. Journey time approx. 28 minutes.

  • Arriving from the north (A6): Take the exit onto the A81 heading south. Exit toward Kornwestheim. Then turn left onto the L1140. Turn left onto L1110. Turn right and continue onto Emerholzweg. Turn right onto Am Wammesknopf. We are on the left.
  • Arriving from the south (A81): Merge onto B10 toward Kornwestheim. Take the exit toward Kallenberg. Take Korntaler Str. to Am Wammesknopf. Turn left onto Schwieberdinger Str. (signs for Kallenberg). Continue onto Korntaler Straße. Slight left onto Freihofstraße. Continue straight onto Asperger Straße. Turn left onto Pflugfelder Straße. Continue onto Emerholzweg. Turn right onto Am Wammesknopf. We are on the left.

Our location in Stuttgart has the following open hours. 

  • Pick-up: 3 PM to 6 PM daily. 
  • Drop-off: 8 AM to 11 AM daily.

The Stuttgart station team will call you 2 to 3 days before your adventure starts to arrange pick-up and drop-off times.

All campers are new and fully equipped for your camping adventure: an apartment on 4-wheel. Our vans have a small kitchen incl. integrated compressor cooler and two beds (folded down rear seat and in the pop-up roof). Our campervans are also available with pop-up roofs (all Family models). All campervans and motorhomes are equipped with a full kitchen, a bathroom, a variety of sleeping options and plenty of storage space. There are two reliable long-term, free parking lots in the direct surroundings. Please note that parking areas might change or become subject to parking fees. 

  • Underground parking lot: Opposite the town hall tower on Stuttgarter Straße, you can park free of charge in the underground parking lot. 
  • Kelterplatz tram station: At the Kelterplatz tram stop, you can find many free parking spaces.

Parking slightly further away:

  • Rotenwalstraße - Parkplatz Birkenkopf: Free parking lot without a time limit. A bonus is that it comes with a great view.  
  • Sommerrain tram station parking: Free parking lot without a time limit at the Sommerrain tram station. Only three tram stops away from the central station via the tram
  • Eduard Pfeiffer Straße: You will find free parking on the street without a time limit (from the hill onward).
  • Reuteallee: Parking on these streets is free of charge to the extent permitted by law.

For paid parking, we recommend the park-and-ride facilities in the vicinity. Public transport also makes it easy to get to us.

After you have booked your camper or motorhome, our station team in Stuttgart will contact you at least 2 to 3 days before your trip to arrange pick-up and drop-off details. Generally, the pick-up takes place from 3:00PM and the return takes place by 11:00AM on your last day. Simply arrange the details with our station team.

On-site, you will be introduced to the vehicle and shown everything you need to know about your camper or motorhome. By the way, you can get detailed information about your camper in advance with our explanatory videos.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer you this option at the moment. You will have to return the camper in the same city where you rented it.

Your camper is ready for you in Stuttgart with a full tank. This way, you start your adventure without detours. We use a full-full refuelling system. When you collect your camper, it will have a full tank of AdBlue and fuel. On returning the vehicle, we ask for the same. 

The closest fuel station is at the OMV Petrol station located on Freihofstraße 77, 70439 Stuttgart. Here you can buy AdBlue in canisters and fill up with fuel. In Kornwestheim and Zuffenhausen you can also find more petrol stations.

Unfortunately, our vans, campers and RVs are not allowed through automatic car washes. Please use a self-service car wash station to clean the vehicle both inside and outside.

The nearest self-service car washes are WAP Waschbär Autowäsche on Gottfried-Keller-Straße 21, 70435 Stuttgart or SB Car-Wash-Center on Solitudeallee 125, 70806 Kornwestheim, Deutschland and Mörikestraße 161, 71636 Ludwigsburg. Please check in advance whether the caravan or motorhome size is compatible with the size of the car wash and the respective opening hours.

We recommend that you go shopping after picking up the camper. This way, you do not need to take all the groceries with you to the handover. Furthermore, you can cool your products in the built-in fridge right away.

Near our Stuttgart yard, you can find a REWE and a Netto. They are both on Freihofstraße. Around 2km further down the road at the train station (road changes to Stammheimer Straße), there is an E-Centre with a bakery.

In the direction of the A81, you will find a second E-Centre in Kallenberg. There are also numerous supermarkets along the B10.

If you pick up your camper on a Sunday, you can get some meat and other items in a vending machine on Im Kornfeld 5, 71696 Möglingen.
